Project Management Card Game
What
A card game with unique project management questions on each card to help teams prepare for new projects. Teams or individuals could use these as flashcards to answer questions about an upcoming project, or there are game rules for more than one person or for use as an icebreaker when multiple teams are working together.
Why
We received a request to develop training to aid with communication between teams working on a project together. Stakeholders were having issues with teams using terminology, acronyms, metrics, or phrases that were only known on their specific team, making it difficult to get everybody involved on the same page
Result
We initially printed ten copies, but were soon asked to print an additional 75 copies to leave in meeting rooms throughout the office. People and teams would often pull them out to 'quiz themselves' on their preparedness to answer questions about a new project. Teams were able to more effectively communicate prior to beginning a project due to using an established set of questions that were approachable to everyone.
